Arbitron is marking the one-year anniversary of the Portable People Meter Philadelphia trials. The company says findings from the year-long effort are helping it learn more about consumer behavior and the encoding/decoding technology viability.
According to Arbitron, the technology works as planned. Panelist compliance results show that consumers who wear the PPM over time show no evidence of fatigue.
Media researchers are now focusing on what the company calls “more practical questions of ‘Do the ratings make sense?’ and ‘How will they help my business.’”
