It’s always nice to see expansion in radio, especially when it’s a single station adding a second to create “network” status.
And so it is for WAWZ(FM), Star 99.1, and Pillar of Fire International with the addition of WLIR(FM), Star 107.1, on New York’s Long Island.
The expansion also includes the addition of five translators in several mainland New York counties.
General Manager Scott Taylor described the new station as a “faithful companion.” The big day is Aug. 1.
