PlayDockXM Debuts

PlayDockXM Debuts

XM Satellite Radio and receiver manufacturer and retailer Cambridge SoundWorks are producing what both companies say is the first portable XM radio with rechargeable batteries. The “PlayDockXM” works with the Delphi XM Roady radio, introduced in the fall of 2003 as a portable automotive unit that plugs into the vehicle’s cigarette lighter and cassette deck.
The PlayDockXM has a flexible docking station that allows connection or removal of the Delphi XM Roady radio. It also has a built-in XM Antenna and AC adapter.
The radio can play up to 10 hours before the batteries need to be re-charged.
The PlayDockXM Audio System will be available this summer and retail for approximately $199.99. Cambridge SoundWorks is a wholly owned subsidiary of Creative Technology Ltd.
