The NAB European Radio Conference has evolved to include two first-ever components for the 2007 iteration.
In its 15th consecutive year, the NAB event will include the NAB Podcasting Summit and also the Global Traffic Network European Radio Awards. The conference takes place 4–6 November in Barcelona, Spain.
The Podcasting Summit will take place on the first day of the conference. An all-day event, it includes five sessions highlighting technical and promotional aspects of podcasting. Leading three of the sessions will be new media expert David Lawrence.
On 5 November, the European Radio Awards will recognize achievements in 10 radio industry categories, ranging from Best Breakfast Show to Station of the Year to Best Internet Radio and Best Radio Industry Website.
The overall theme of the 2007 NAB European Radio Conference is “¡Viva la Radio!”
Conference sessions will cover programming, management and sales/marketing issues, while workshop sessions will include “Building Successful Radio in Emerging Markets” and “Taking Your Programming Across the Platforms.”
