National public broadcaster Polish Radio has begun transmitting in DAB+, according to its website.
Director and Editor-in-Chief of Polish Radio 4 Krzysztof Łuszczewski says the digital standard enables the broadcaster to increase its coverage area, improve sound quality and disseminate programming nationwide.
The multiplex also enables firsts for the Polish Radio external service. It previously broadcast on digital platforms in London and Dublin, but not within Poland, according to Director and Editor-in-Chief of Polish Radio’s external service Michał Juliusz Maliszewski.
Last week, Polish Radio put out a call for a DAB+ operator.
