Lots of talk this week over whether Disney will leave the radio business.
The New York Post reported that the company is weighing what to do with the ABC Radio division and that a sale for well over $1 billion is an option.
A decision on radio is a priority for CEO Robert Iger, according to the Post report as carried by CNN.
“All radio companies are challenged right now,” the paper quoted one industry executive, “because there has — after consolidation — been very little investment in them. Disney is probably seeing radio as not a core asset when they have to grow their business in the double digits.”
