Arbitron also said 100 Kroger stores in the Houston area will take part in a market trial of the PPM. Already taking part are Best Buy, Gap, Gallery Furniture, National CineMedia and Old Navy.
The stores will use audio programming from an in-store music service and broadcast advertising network. Audio will be embedded with Arbitron ID codes; when a survey participant enters a store, the PPM will record the media exposure.
