Things are getting back to normal regarding Arbitron Portable People Meter ratings in areas affected by Hurricane Sandy.
The ratings firm says after reviewing the amount of usable data from panelists and other performance metrics for Week 1 of the December PPM report period (Nov. 8 to Nov. 14), the company believes there’s enough material to support the release of Week 1 Weeklies data.
Arbitron EVP Gregg Lindner says the company will release PPM Weeklies data for December Week 1 for all markets as scheduled. Week 1 will also be included in all PPM December 2012 monthly reports, meaning clients will get the full December monthly report.
The company last week decided against releasing the fourth week of November PPM data in the New York, Nassau-Suffolk and Middlesex-Somerset-Union markets because power outages affected panel participation in those markets.
