Harris said Prairie Public Broadcasting purchased new HD Radio transmitters for its eight FM radio stations.
Harris also will provide FlexStar HD Radio products at the eight Prairie Public radio stations to enable future multicasting initiatives.
Jack Anderson is director of engineering for the broadcaster, based in Fargo, N.D. He expects the installation to begin in June and be done by year’s end. Prairie Public’s engineering staff will attend Harris transmitter school for training.
The purchase was supported by CPB grant funding.
