Premiere Networks has elevated Martin Melius to vice president of affiliate relations and urban programming from senior national director of affiliate relations. Based in Los Angeles, he will continue to report to Peter Tripi, senior vice president of affiliate relations/talk and morning shows.

Melius will now oversee affiliate sales and marketing efforts for the network’s urban programming, including “The Steve Harvey Morning Show,” “Steve Harvey Saturdays,” “The Keith Sweat Hotel,” “The Breakfast Club,” “Weekends with the Breakfast Club” and “Keep Hope Alive with Reverend Jesse Jackson.”

Before he joined the company as director of affiliate relations in August 2005, Melius served as national director of promotion for Universal/Motown Records. He also previously held management positions at Warner Chappell Music and Universal Music Publishing.

Premiere Networks, a subsidiary of Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, syndicates 90 radio programs and services to more than 5,000 radio affiliations and reaches over 190 million listeners weekly.
