Premiere Networks Taps New VP of Sports Programming

Scott Shapiro leaves ESPN Radio

Radio program syndicator and services provider Premiere Networks has named Scott Shapiro as vice president of sports programming.

In this newly created position, Shapiro will be based in Los Angeles and will oversee the daily execution of the company’s sports programming and content, including the Fox Sports Radio Network. He reports to Premiere Networks SVP of Sports Programming Don Martin.

Shapiro most recently served as program director of ESPN Radio, where he helped drive listenership and viewership for “Mike & Mike,” “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” and “SVP & Russillo.”

He previously served as producer of “Mike & Mike,” and prior to that, he held the role of assistant program director and executive producer of WQXI(AM) in Atlanta. He also produced “Mayhem in the AM,” and managed its simulcast on Comcast Sports South TV.
