Alvin Pritchard has been tapped to fill the opening for Journal Broadcast Group Milwaukee’s new vice president of finance.
In his new role, Pritchard will have financial oversight of Journal Broadcast Group-owned and operated TV and radio stations in 14 markets, in addition to serving as a strategic partner to the broadcast leadership team.
He will be responsible for financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and analysis. He will also help set and achieve strategic and operational direction, according to a release.
He most recently served at NBC Universal as vice president of finance for NBC’s television duopoly in the country’s number three TV market, Chicago, including WMAQ(TV) and WSNS(TV), for the past nine years. He led the finance team in support of projects such as evaluation of original broadcast and digital content, capital projects including HD, studio utilization and evaluation of partnership agreements.
Pritchard also held positions within GE’s finance organization, including commercial finance manager for GE Healthcare’s Diagnostic Imaging division, as well as manager of GE Healthcare’s Internal Audit staff.
