Prophet DigiLogger 2.0 Includes ‘Flex Skimming’

Prophet Systems is out with version 2.0 of its DigiLogger audio logging software. Features including “flex skim technology,” a new user interface and CD-burning capability.
In addition to the traditional method of recording only when the microphone is on, version 2.0 also gives the option of listening to the whole show, or just the skimmed portions. The company says “flex skim technology” enables companies to preserve the whole show while still being able to review certain breaks.
Users can monitor multiple stations and simultaneously record 16 audio sources per workstation, useful to program directors. Version 2.0 lets the PD select and review audio elements using XML export capability, aircheck any of the announcers and show a client that the right commercial played at the right time. PDs can keep as much or as little of the audio as they wish.
Additional highlights include remote access via Web page, and the ability to produce audio in formats such as MP3s and WMA files. Version 2.0 uses multiple bit-rate storage per recording channel, and recording lengths and times are user-configurable. DigiLogger can record in compressed or non-compressed formats and is compatible with most automation systems.
