PRSS Releases New Public Radio Resource Guide

PRSS hopes online format is easier to access

The Public Radio Satellite System has updated its “Public Radio Resource Guide.”

The detailed online handbook, available for free via the PRSS website, lists information and resources relevant to public radio stations, producers, and industry vendors.

The guide features lists of service categories in the areas of technology and equipment, training, funding and underwriting resources, membership organizations, and conferences, for example. PRSS says it will regularly update the content.

NPR Vice President for Distribution Pete Loewenstein stated: “There is an overwhelming volume of information online of interest to the public radio community. Our new guide is an effort to put some of this information in a format that’s easier for stations and producers to access. This guide will not only serve the current public radio community, but also provide a path for those just entering or learning about the industry.”
