Publisher of Radio Ink Purchases Radio Business Report

Indicates RBR will remain a separate entity

The broadcast trade publishing sector saw an acquisition today.

Streamline Publishing announced the purchase of Radio Business Report and Television Business Report. Streamline is publisher of Radio Ink and is chaired by Eric Rhoads.

Jim Carnegie, who founded RBR along with wife Cathy in 1983, sold the publication. Cathy Carnegie passed away in 2011. Jim Carnegie said in a statement, “While this transaction might seem sudden, it was actually in the works for some time prior to Cathy’s passing.” He said he will focus on his new broadcast advisory business.

The deal brings together two titles on the radio management side, but the announcement said that RBR/TVBR will continue to operate separately from Radio Ink.
