Pulsecom said it has shipped more than 3,000 PCAUs and said the pace of shipments is increasing.
The company’s broadband audio transmission products are used by telcos to link radio stations to antenna sites. The Pulsecom/APT Program Channel Access Unit works with fiber or copper equipment so the phone companies can offer broadband audio more widely.
The product has “revitalized a revenue stream for carriers, and has boosted audio quality just as broadcasters migrate to new generations of service,” the company stated in its announcement.
The PCAU is manufactured in Virginia.
