Consumer electronics manufacturer Pure is expanding its Jongo multiroom music system with two additional wireless speakers and a new Pure Connect on-demand music streaming service.
The two new wireless multiroom speakers — Jongo T2 and Jongo T6 — come in different sizes and mounting options and join the line’s first two products — Jongo S3, a rechargeable, portable wireless speaker and Jongo A2, a wireless hi-fi adapter. Users can choose any combination of Jongo speakers to build a system and listen to synchronized music in a single or multiroom environment.
The full Jongo multiroom speaker system will be available on U.S. shelves in October at 2,800 Walmart brick and mortar retailers as well as Walmart.com, in addition to approximately 300 Best Buy locations. They can also be pre-ordered online at Amazon.com.
Pure is also announcing the U.S. availability of its on-demand music streaming service to Pure Connect, allowing users to discover, explore and stream millions of music tracks. The music service will be available here in September. It includes a premium option for offline listening allowing users to download playlists to their smartphones and listen without relying on the cell network.
Pure Director of U.S. Sales Noam Meppen says the company designed Jongo to be flexible, with a range of colors and sizes to suit different rooms and a variety of ways to mount and position the speakers so they fit into the home environment.
Jongo T2 lists for $149 and Jongo T6 lists for $349.
