The Radio Advertising Bureau and National Association of Broadcasters are expanding their relationship — and plan to team up to jointly produce next year’s radio show in Washington.
Their expanded partnership extends to the NAB Show in Las Vegas and other industry leadership events.
Also new this week are the exact dates for the next radio show: Sept. 29 to Oct. 1, 2010.
While RAB has been producing the sales sessions at both the spring and fall NAB conventions, the organizations said this week their partnership will expand to include “a long-term program of communications and events for radio sales and representation in Washington” to coincide with “The Radio Show produced by RAB and NAB.” More details on the fall convention will be released in early 2010.
NAB President/CEO Gordon Smith said the broadcast group and the RAB had received “many requests” to combine efforts next year and beyond.
“Increasing revenues at radio stations is a priority at both of our associations. Together, we can meet the demands of the business and seize opportunities that may never have surfaced otherwise.”
