RAB: Radio Revenue Up Slightly

It appears radio revenue continues upward. According to the RAB, while May 2002 numbers revealed a 1% gain in local dollars, national ad sales rose 11%. The combined total revenue was up 3% over May figures for last year.
“Radio’s sustained increase since March of this year is indicative of the medium’s resiliency and its unique ability to address advertisers’ needs at a moment’s notice,” stated RAB President/CEO Gary Fries. “All indicators point to continued sales gains for radio as the year progresses.”
