RAB2004 Kicks Off

RAB2004, the Radio Sales, Management & Leadership Conference presented by the Radio Advertising Bureau, kicks off at the Adam’s Mark Hotel in Dallas, Texas, and continues through Feb. 7.
The annual conference features nearly 100 sessions focused on generating revenue from traditional as well as non-traditional sources. RAB says its international attendance is up 20% at this year’s show.
RAB2004 will feature four keynote speakers to round out the three-day conference: Ken Tucker, Management Consultant for the Gallup Organization; Mimi Donaldson, Communications Expert; Mary LoVerde, Psychologist and Life-Balance specialist; and John Drury, Vice President, Marketing for AutoNation, a car dealer.
This year also marks the debut of a seminar presented completely in the Spanish language. In addition to revenue-generating sessions, management workshops are also on the bill, from recruiting and hiring strategies to tips on motivating and budgeting.
Updates on key industry topics such as the Portable People Meter, Radio Ad Effectiveness Lab research, a new Radio Industry Perceptual Study, and Accountability are also on the agenda.
