Race for IBOC? Ibiquity Offers New Incentive Program

Calling its first HD Radio incentive program an “overwhelming success,” Ibiquity Digital Corp. has announced another.
Details: The first 125 for-profit, commercial stations to enter into a station license agreement after Feb. 1 will have the one-time fee for the audio license limited to a maximum of $5,000.
Also, all non-commercial, non-profit stations that enter into a station license agreement by June 30 will have the one-time fee for the audio license waived completely.
A station must make its “best commercial efforts” to start digital broadcasting by June 30 and continue to transmit in digital until at least the end of 2004.
The company said approximately 130 stations in 40 cities had signed licenses to convert to digital by the end of 2002.
To obtain the new license agreement, contact Stephen Wallace at (410) 872-1554 or e-mail to [email protected] , or Scott Stull at (410) 872-1578 or [email protected] .
