Digital advertising and broadcast services provider Radiate Media has partnered with The Weather Channel to provide Weather Channel content and information through its distribution of its new Weather Channel Xpress service.
The companies have an already existing 11-year relationship.
“The Weather Channel Xpress is a must-have for radio stations, because the service provides comprehensive weather information … ” said Dave Van Dyke, Radiate Media’s vice president of broadcast affiliations, “particularly during extreme weather conditions when this information must be impeccable to ensure safety.”
According to a release, Weather Channel Xpress is continuously updated with meteorological data for the metro areas of any U.S. city, including updates on current conditions and real-time National Weather Service announcements.
It provides both a “Nowcast,” a description of the weather condition for the next six hours, and “Forecast,” a detailed seven-day description material and specialty data. During extreme weather, the Weather Channel Xpress affiliates may also stream audio from The Weather Channel TV network.
