A Web radio station for French communities in the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific Oceans has implemented Radio-Assist automation from Netia.
The content delivered by Radio Ô, an initiative of the Réseau France Outre-mer (RFO) overseas network, reflects the diversity of artists working in French-speaking territories worldwide.
“Netia’s Radio-Assist provided us with all the tools necessary to produce high-quality Radio Ô Web broadcasts quickly and to provide listeners worldwide with the rich and varied musical offerings from across French overseas territories,” said Christian Augereau, RFO technical director.
“The intuitive, highly automated Stream-in solution within Radio-Assist enabled us to implement a streamlined and cost-effective workflow in taking Radio Ô online,” said Augereau.
Radio Ô producers create Web content using Radio-Assist and then use the Air-DDO broadcast module and new Stream-in software.
Stream-in automatically manages the acquisition of multiple sources, simultaneous multi-format conversion and transfer of the audio stream to the server.
Radio Ô also uses Netia Air-Push, a solution designed for DAB broadcasts that automatically provides data relating to the song or other music on air. For each song broadcast, Air-Push sends metadata to a Web or DAB server, or straight onto the network.
