Hospital Radio Bedside (HRB) recently refurbished both of its on-air studios to help improve visibility for the guests.
To achieve this goal, HRB Engineer Simon Davies installed Sonifex S2 split mixers without meterbridges. Sonifex supplier Westcountry Broadcast furnished the studio in a mahogany finish suite with matching mahogany meterbridge pods, which were located between the mixer sections with the computer monitors behind the mixer chassis.
HRB also installed Sonifex SignalLED studio signs and a Sonifex RB-SS10 10 way stereo analog source selector/mixer as part of the refit.
Volunteer-run HRB is based at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital in Dorset, England, and broadcasts to five local hospitals, as well as online.
