Radio Campaign for Fox TV Is Using ‘Blinks’

Clear Channel Radio and Fox Broadcasting announced a national radio campaign using “blinks.”
If you blinked yourself and missed the earlier discussion, blinks are extremely short radio spots. These will be used to support the fall premieres of several TV shows including “House,” “The Simpsons” and “Prison Break.”
“Conceived by, and running exclusively on, 1,100 Clear Channel Radio stations, ‘blinks’ now move from hot advertising concepts to reality,” the companies trumpeted in their announcement. Clear Channel says the super-short spots are most effective when used in combination with other length spots.
The spots combine theme music and “acerbic remarks from characters” to remind fans to tune in and to attract new ones.
