Radio consolidation has hurt career opportunities in the eyes of workers.
That’s one of the findings of a survey of broadcast employees by AMFMTVOnline.com. One of its questions was: Has consolidation of the industry give you more, less or the same career opportunity? Among radio respondents, 55% said less, while 16% said more.
The survey also identified radio’s “most respected broadcasting company.” Entercom was tops for the second year in a row, followed by Clear Channel, Infinity and NPR.
The top television employers were PBS and NBC.
436 people responded to the survey out of 21,000 solicited.
