The Museum of Television & Radio is set to open its Radio Festival in New York. The sixth-annual event will run from Oct. 19 – Nov. 3. The museum will also launch the festival on the West Coast — in Los Angeles – on Oct. 27 continuing through Nov. 3.
The Radio Festival is touted as “a unique opportunity for the museum to join with members of radio’s creative community to celebrate the powerful presence of radio through seminars, live broadcasts, radio dramas and family events.”
Festival seminars include a forum on Internet radio and the music industry, an examination of different genres on radio, an exploration of new technology and a celebration of legendary radio personalities.
Festival funding has been provided by Interep, The Edward and Patricia McLaughlin Foundation and Infinity Broadcasting Corp.
