Radio Flat in June, Up 1% for First Half

At the mid-point of the year, radio’s revenue needle stood very close to where it did at the same time last year.
The RAB says year to date, all of its major radio revenue figures are up 1% over last year.
In June alone, U.S. commercial radio revenues “remained steady.”
“Grand total all revenue, local spot, national spot and total combined local and national spot dollars all remained flat for the month compared to June of 2004,” it announced. Nontraditional revenue was off 5% for the month.
Also flat were radio’s overall numbers for the second quarter.
