Five FM systems expand network in Bangladesh

Broadcast Electronics said Radio Foorti installed FM 10S transmitter systems at five new RF sites in Bangladesh, making it the largest privately operated network of FM stations in the country.

The transmitters in Khulna, Rajshahi, Barishal, Mymensingh and Cox’s Bazar add to Radio Foorti operations in Dhaka, Sylhet and Chittagong.

Anisuzzaman Anis is manager of broadcast at Radio Foorti, which plays regional and international music. Frank Massa is Asia Pacific sales manager for Broadcast Electronics.

BE said it has supplied transmission systems to “all the major private broadcasters in Bangladesh as well as Radio Mango, Hello FM, Sun TV Network Ltd., and Red FM in India; Neth FM, MBC, and Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation and Independent Television Network in Sri Lanka; and Kantipur FM in Nepal,” among others.
