A joint effort between the Radio Free Network and the Canadian Forum for Nepal (CFFN), Radio Free Nepal is envisioned as a Web-based station that “exists to support and celebrate the democratic aspirations and accomplishments of the people of Nepal.”

The Radio Free Network uses open source broadcast and communications technologies to help community organizations and development initiatives found their own online radio services. It also offers an updated D.I.Y. guide to starting and running an Internet radio station.

The first project of the network, Radio Free Peterborough, recently marked its third anniversary.
