The sale of Susquehanna Radio could bring in $1 billion, Reuters reports.
The news agency said prospective buyers of the 33-station group include Cox, Citadel and Entercom.
“Speculation is also now rampant that Walt Disney Co. is readying to sell its ABC Radio business,” it stated.
Susquehanna Media has radio, cable and telephony businesses; it is owned by Susquehanna Pfaltzgraff, which also owns a major pottery manufacturer. It announced its intention to sell in April.
