Radio One, Inc., has chosen Shawneen Thompson as vice president and general manager of its Philadelphia radio stations.
Thompson joined Radio One in March of 2010 as station manager of the St. Louis radio stations. She was then promoted to vice president and general manager on July 20.
In other news from Radio One, Alan Leinwand has also been named vice president and general manager of Radio One’s Washington stations.
Leinwand joined the company in September of 2010 as director of sales for the Washington stations. His previous experience includes 16 years at CBS Radio, where he served as general sales manager, vice president/general manager and vice president of sales. He also worked as general sales manager for Clear Channel in New York.
