The June issue of Licensed to Serve has hit the inbox.
Things have been particularly active in the Midwest and Plains. Mid-West Family’s properties in Madison, Wis., WJQM(FM) and WWQM(FM), conducted their 10th annual American Family Children’s Hospital Radiothon. It was a three-day, 39-hour affair from the hospital’s lobby that collected over $680,000.
To the west in Rapid City, S.D., the Schurz Communications cluster helped out the Children’s Miracle Network with their One Call, One Miracle Radiothon. It collected almost $90,000. The stations participating were FMs KFXS, KKMK, KOUT and KRCS.
In Albany, N.Y., Clear Channel stations WGY(AM/FM) and WRVE(FM) hosted the 30-hour 16th annual Cares for Kids Radiothon. Final tally — almost $650,000.
