Hurricane Felix went ashore the morning of Tuesday, 4 September, in northeastern Nicaragua at Category Five strength with winds and rain affecting Nicaragua, Honduras and Belize. It is predicted to remain at tropical depression strength across Guatemala and into Mexico.

As the storm rolled through the Caribbean, broadcasters worked to prepare listeners and themselves.

The Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles, relay station for Radio Nederland Wereldomroep (RNW) has posted pictures and reports of its operations as the story passed 100 kilometers to the north of Aruba, Curaçao and Bonaire.
