U.S. commercial radio revenue was off 1% in the month of August compared to the same month a year ago.

U.S. commercial radio revenue was off 1% in the month of August compared to the same month a year ago.

According to the RAB, local business was down 1%, national was off 5% and non-spot was up 11%.

At mid-year, RAB reported earlier, radio’s overall revenue picture was flat. Since then both monthly reports have shown revenue down slightly from the same months prior, although non-spot revenue continues to be a bright spot.
