The exhibit hall for the upcoming fall NAB Radio Show will be open two days this year instead of three.
The booths will be open on Wednesday, Sept. 20 from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday from 9-5 p.m. The show traditionally has included Friday hours as well; last year it ran until 3 p.m. on that day.
Why the change?
“The Jewish holiday Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown on Friday, Sept. 22, and our concern was that exhibitors and their employees might not have time to tear down their exhibits and get home for observance if we had exhibits open until noon on Friday,” according to NAB spokesman Dennis Wharton.
The exhibit hall will officially close Thursday night at 5 p.m.
Radio Show sessions, however, will run through Friday at noon.
