Radio was a leading source of news for many Americans during the terrorist attacks.
That’s according to a new survey that focused on where Americans first heard about the attacks and what media they went to for more information.
ABC Radio Networks commissioned the study, which was conducted by RoperASW over 2 days last week.
More than 1 in 5 respondents listened to radio and 1 in 10 turned only to radio out of 98.7 % adults surveyed.
More 1/3 of adults ages 25-34 first heard about the terrorist attacks from the radio, almost 10 percentage points more than heard it first on TV, according to the study.
