Radiodays Asia Announced for 2019

Will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Aug. 27–28.

Founders of Radiodays Europe have announced the establishment Radiodays Asia, an international radio and audio conference that will be held in Southeast Asia.

Organized in collaboration with Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) and Commercial Radio Malaysia (CRM), the event, with a focus on the future of radio and audio businesses in Asia, will take place at the Hotel Istana in Kuala Lumpur, Aug. 27–28.

The two-day conference, featuring two parallel tracks, will bring together speakers from around the world to share their ideas, strategies and plans for radio and audio. Organizers say it will deliver to Asian radio and audio businesses a similar platform to Radiodays Europe, with a focus on Asia’s “vibrant, diverse and progressive” radio markets and business trends.

“Since 2013 Radiodays Europe has been invited to bring radio expertise to the Asia Media Summit and we have seen a number of visitors from Asia at the Radiodays Europe events. This cooperation has grown and we are happy to announce today the launch of Radiodays Asia,” said Anders Held Radiodays Asia founder and project manager.

“I think Europeans and Asians have a lot to learn from each other in a time when challenges are increasingly global. We, Radiodays Europe, and our partners in Asia-Pacific will ensure this is a conference focused and relevant for Asian markets, but bring the best and most important high level speakers from across the world to Radiodays Asia.”

Organizers added that speakers for Radiodays Asia will comprise international experts from the radio and audio industries, in addition to those from other fields including automotive and journalism.
