The Radio-Mercury Awards, established in 1992 to encourage and reward the development of creative commercials, will hold its 2005 ceremony on June 8 in New York at the Cipriani 42nd St. The luncheon and awards gala is presented annually by the Radio Creative Fund, with prizes including the $100,000 grand prize and the retro-inspired Radio Mercury Awards trophy.
“The Radio-Mercury Awards continue to garner praise and recognition throughout the creative community,” said Gary Fries, president and CEO of the Radio Advertising Bureau and co-chair of the RCF. “Cipriani 42nd St. … reflects the quality of radio creative that the RM-As have come to represent.”
