Milwaukee-based noncommercial station WYMS(FM) has named Linda Daley as its first chief financial officer/operating officer and Peter Adams as its first marketing and promotions manager. The station also recently moved into a new studio complex in the Walker’s Point neighborhood.
Daley comes to 88Nine RadioMilwaukee after serving the last five years as senior vice president and chief financial officer at the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee. Before that she spent five years as the Milwaukee Art Museum chief financial officer. In her new role, Daley is responsible for administering financial and business operations including financial reporting, budgeting, administration of legal and insurance issues and human resource matters.
“With the opening of our new building and a growing membership and funding base, RadioMilwaukee has become a more complex organization financially,” said Executive Director Mary Louise Mussoline.
Adams has been assistant director of the East Town Association, a downtown Milwaukee business group, since 2011, where his duties included booking music for Jazz in the Park, the East Town Market and the Milwaukee Firkin Craft Beer Festival; membership recruitment and retention; and planning and organizing all Coffee Connections events. He was also responsible for the group’s newsletter, webpage and social media. Previously, he served as the association’s development director and as a RadioMilwaukee underwriting specialist.
“We are so happy to have Peter Adams back on the RadioMilwaukee staff team,” Mussoline said. “This new position for the station will focus on building our audience, strengthening our brand and implementing events to further involve the Milwaukee community in the station.”
Launched in 2007, RadioMilwaukee is a nonprofit, community-supported public radio station.
