RadioTime to Pitch Its Service at Venture Event

RadioTime is among the companies that will take part in an upcoming venture capital event in California.
The company offers a consumer service it calls a “personalized consumer guide for old and new radio.” The service includes a Web guide of radio programs and stations plus software to listen live or record programming as MP3 files. The company, which currently offers a beta version of the service, says it gives listeners a way to find radio content from 36,000 global outlets and to perform time-shift recording.
The company makes its money by selling online subscriptions and bundles agreements with portable and new connected audio devices.
IBDNetwork, the sponsor of the Under the Radar Consumer Technologies event, is a group of venture capitalists and business executives. Other small, private companies taking part in that event include search, podcasting, blogging, RSS, music search and distribution and other software suppliers.
