Ramberg to Keynote NAB Management in the Cloud Conference

Speaker is Amazon Web Services’ GM of media and entertainment

The 2014 NAB Show Media Management in the Cloud Conference will feature a keynote address from Mark Ramberg, the general manager of media and entertainment for Amazon Web Services.

He will deliver the speech April 8, starting around 9 a.m., as part of the NAB Show in Las Vegas, which will be held April 5–10.

According to a release, Ramberg’s keynote will address how cloud services have enabled media and entertainment companies to address the challenges and complexity of offering consumers content anytime, anywhere and on any device. He will also explore how cloud services can be leveraged to meet increasing infrastructure demands of upstream workflow scenarios, such as film production and broadcast. In addition, he will discuss insights and trends that will lead to increased efficiency and collapsing cost structures, a release explained.

At Amazon Web Services, Ramberg’s team focuses on how the media industry can leverage the AWS cloud for media storage, processing and distribution. He has held various technical, business and leadership roles for both startup and Fortune 100 software companies.

The Media Management in the Cloud Conference is produced in partnership with the Entertainment Technology Center at the University of Southern California. It will be held April 8–9 and sponsored by Rackspace Hosting and Aspera The event will provide an overview of how cloud-based solutions impact each stage of content distribution.
