nTunes.com established an agreement with Radio Computing Services to link nTunes.com’s online CD stores to RCS’ RadioShow Web technology.
Based on RCS Selector programming, RadioShow allows a station’s Web site to follow the on-air broadcast. RadioShow offers Web site visitors continuously changing images, song background information, artist notes, music news, weather or other updated information.
Visitors to the site will be able to buy the music the station is currently playing.
nTunes.com has an inventory of more than 150,000 CD’s, and each store is tailored to match the station’s format. However, the store is not limited to only the station’s format.
Randy Choplin, president and CEO of nTunes.com and nSyndicate said, “We open up new sources of revenue for radio stations through additional advertising space and commissions on the sale of CDs.”
