NAB attendees are getting a demo of AirCheck.net, which uses audio recognition technology to allow a radio station or agency to verify commercials and songs played on any station in a market.
RCS has formed a division called AirCheck LLC and launched the service in New York. Other markets will follow. It said WOR(AM) is the first user.
The product is a broadcast monitoring and automated audio ID service that lets users view a list of commercials or songs actually played on all stations monitored, play back the audio and sort by various parameters.
