Internet audio streamer Rdio used the International CES to announce a number of partnerships to get the service into homes and cars.
On the auto front, it said it signed an exclusive deal with OEM parts maker Bosch. That will put Rdio into Bosch’s mySPIN platform. Rdio also announced that Jaguar and Land Rover have signed on to provide the service in its InControl Apps infotainment systems.
At home, Rdio will soon be available on Hisense smart TVs, LG Electronics Connect-enabled wireless speakers, DTS Play-fi technology and Google’s Cast for audio.
Rdio CEO Anthony Bay said, “Our vision is to offer every song ever recorded, on any device, anywhere in the world, instantly tuned to each listener. People listen to music wherever they are at work, in the car, on the go, and at home. Providing our customers with a simple, integrated and consistent music experience in their homes is a priority for us and one we are investing significant resources in.”
