The Recoil Stabilizer platform from Primacoustic, a division of Radial Engineering, is designed to improve the performance of nearfield monitors by both isolating and stabilizing the system.

A floating platform for a nearfield monitor, the Recoil Stabilizer isolates the loudspeaker from the stand, eliminating disruptive resonant coupling and reducing recoil caused by the forward energy of the loudspeaker motion.

It consists of a high-density urethane foam base to help eliminate vibration-borne resonance from being transmitted to the substructure; a heavy, laser-cut steel plate to hold the speaker in place; and a non-slip neoprene top surface to further isolate the stabilizer plate so that it does not resonate. The front panel is curved to vary the mass, and eliminate the chance for a standing wave to exist.

The Recoil Stabilizer will be available in various sizes and weights to match different speaker designs. It may be ordered in standard or custom angles to precisely aim the loudspeakers for critical listening environments.
