Record Interest in Ennes Scholarships Reported

SBE said interest in its Ennes scholarships was high this year, with more than 80 applications.
The Ennes Educational Foundation Trust is an arm of the Society of Broadcast Engineers. It announced the winners of a program that awards $1,000 scholarships to people interested in pursuing or advancing a career in broadcast engineering or a related field.
The recipients include David Drumm, who receives the Harold E. Ennes Scholarship. He is a staff engineer for Sinclair Broadcast Group in Dayton, Ohio.
The Robert D. Greenberg Scholarship was awarded to Josh Boche of Tacoma, Wash., a sophomore at Bates Technical College who has worked at ESPN at NASCAR and NHRA events in Las Vegas.
The Youth Scholarship goes to Sylar Nowinski, a recent graduate of the High School for Performing and Visual Arts in Houston.
