New radio group Red Zebra Broadcasting finalized its acquisition of WWHV(FM) in Virginia Beach, Va., near Norfolk. The station is at 102.1 MHz and was sold by On Top Communications.
Red Zebra is Dan Snyder’s foray into radio ownership. The company has launched a three-station simulcast, Triple X ESPN Radio, as the new home of his Washington Redskins and ESPN Radio in Washington. Those will now also be heard on WWHV.
CEO Bennett Zier said the company hopes to buy more stations in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
