Radio broadcaster Regent Communications, with 62 stations in nine states, has signed up with Localeze, an Internet-based business and service listings manager, to provide content for its community Web sites.
Using Localeze’s ContentReach metasearch platform, Regent’s local market Web sites will deliver local business, service and shopping information along with coupons that will enhance the site’s news, weather, entertainment and sports content, the vendor said.
Localeze also allows businesses to enhance their search engine results by adding promotions, directions and other improvements.
Regent Communications VP of Technology and Digital Media Larry Downes said Regent “can now close the loop between over-the-air, promotions and directional marketing by both creating consumer need and supplying the direction online.” That, he said, is appealing to advertisers.
