Regent Plans TV Channels for Its Radio Web Sites

Gen2Media gets the job

Regent is planning an ad-supported online TV channel for each of its 60 U.S. radio station Web sites.

Gen2Media Corp. said it won the assignment to create, develop and manage the channels. It’s a digital media and marketing company out of Florida. It has done work for Clear Channel, Emmis and others.

Gen2Media will use its video publishing and content management program to provide each of Regent’s radio Web sites will feature its own branded Internet television channel.

They’ll start the rollout with stations in Grand Rapids, Mich., including WLHT(FM), WGRD(FM) and WTRV(FM), moving on to the rest of Regent’s holdings by the end of the year.

The announcement was made by Larry Downes, VP of technology and digital media at Regent, and Mary Spio, president of Gen2Media, and its chairman and CEO, Jim Byrd.
